2017 Automobile Insurance Review
  The Public Utilities Board has been requested by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to review and report on a number of automobile insurance issues, including the impact of using monetary limits (caps) or deductibles for pain and suffering. The complete Terms of Reference for the review and the areas that will be examined by the Board, along with some general background information, is given below. All information, including schedules, consultants' reports and public input, will be provided below as it becomes available.

  The Board will be seeking public input on the issues set out in the Terms of Reference as well as other issues that may arise during the course of the review as more information and data becomes available. At this early stage the Board encourages anyone who is interested in providing comments on the issues under study or any other issues that they wish to be considered as part of the review to contact the Board.
